Australian Multi-sport Championship
The Freycinet Challenge is a multi-sport event, running over two days across the stunning Freycinet Peninsula, at Coles Bay in Tasmania. If you’re a paddler, a road cyclist, a trail runner or a mountain biker, this is a challenge that will push your limits in one of the most beautiful places in Australia.
The event is marking its 26th anniversary on 3-4 October 2026 and it promises to be an unforgettable experience for athletes and adventure enthusiasts alike. Both seasoned competitors and newcomers are invited to celebrate multi-sport history at this landmark occasion.
You can take on the Challenge as a solo competitor or as part of a team, with options to take part in the epic 2-day Challenge or the shorter 1-day Challenge. Or, you can even create your own challenge. You choose the options to suit your skills and abilities.

You will be competing in your age category, with separate categories for men, women, boys and girls. The teams competition has categories for all male, all female or a mix of male and female participants.

A team can have 2 or 4 people - choosing who completes which stages. There are separate categories for 2 person teams and 4 person teams.
